Why Pakistani Rice?

Rice is grown in productive lands of Punjab territory where millions of agriculturalists trust on rice farming as their chief basis of employment. Among the most famous varieties of rice that are cultivated in Pakistan comprise of Basmati, which is globally famous for its flavor and quality. Proudly, Pakistan remains a major manufacturer of this variety. Almost half the world’s 7.4 billion population consume rice as part of their main food and the need is predictable to rise around 50 by net one decade which is 2030.

There are two main types of rice that grow in Pakistan.

1: Basmati Rice

In Basmati rice, there are three main varieties which comprise of Super Basmati Brown/white rice, 1121 Basmati Rice and D98 Basmati.

2: Non-Basmati Rice

In Non-Basmati Rice, there are a number of verities which are part of the market but following remain some of the most famous: PK-386 long grain (Punjab), IRRI-6 Long Grain (Punjab), IRRI-6 Rice, IRRI-9/C-9 Long Grain, KS-282 long Grain (Punjab) and Broken Rice.

Each of the main verities of Rice are further converted or marketed into four major forms. From a simple Basmati Paddy, we can prepare Brown Basmati (Punjab), Parboiled form (Punjab), Steam Rice (Punjab) and White Rice (Punjab).
